By the introduction of a Child Protection Policy and Procedures Handbook the Federation of Artistic Roller Skating shows its determination to ensure all the necessary steps are taken to protect from harm, those children and young people in roller skating activities under the control of the Federation.

The policy establishes the Federation's position, its role and responsibilities and together with the Procedures Handbook clarifies what is expected of Affiliated Clubs, Associated Organisations, trainers and coaches and all individuals connected with the sport and providing a service to the sport.

• Ensure your skates are correctly tightened and laces tucked in.
• Please follow the flow of skating.
• Skate in a safe manner which is not likely to cause injury or accident.
• Do not eat or drink when skating.
• Do not wear loose clothing on the rink.
• Keep long hair tied back whilst skating.
• Do not go onto the floor until directed.
• Clear the floor when directed.
• Lastly.. Have fun!

FARS

Our governing body is FARS, Federation of Artistic Roller Skating. The objective of the Federation is the promotion and control of Artistic Roller Skating.  This is achieved by the organising of skating tests, training, competitions and championships in this country, and supporting British competitors in international skating events.
